This heavily used floor was ready for a full refurbishment after years of wear and tear.
The client needed a budget-conscious solution that would improve the appearance and functionality of the space while making it easier to keep clean.
We removed approximately 3–5mm of worn, heavily exposed concrete using our two remote-control 680 grinders, before installing the SURECOAT 200 100% solids epoxy coating system over 1700m²—delivering a durable, easy-to-maintain finish.
An additional 400m² was ground, densified, and sealed with ARDEX WPM 163—a dustproofing system that improves cleanability and surface performance without stretching the budget.
This large-scale flooring refurbishment covered 7500m² of industrial space and involved extensive prep and repair work prior to coating installation.
We carried out heavy grinding across 5500m², including widespread patching, crack repair, and slab remediation. Over 320m² of epoxy mortar screeds (up to 20mm thick) were installed to rebuild damaged areas, and hundreds of metres of cracks were repaired throughout the site.
The finished floor area was coated with Mapefloor System 34, a high-build, 100% solids epoxy flooring system built for long-term performance in demanding environments.
An additional 2000m² was ground and treated with Mapei Prosfas, providing a densified, dustproof finish to improve functionality and ergonomics in storage and inwards goods areas.
Our client was after a durable workshop floor for their newly purchased commercial unit.
The design brief was for a finish that would give the workshop a crisp, clean, professional look while offering a high level of durability.
We decided on our Smooth UV Flat Finish - a 3 coat system with a matte light grey topcoat.
